Introduction
Until now, if a Reseller wanted to provide web visitors with detailed, up to date product information, the Reseller would be forced to either:
- Recreate the Manufacturer's collateral marketing material into web form (demanding the reseller spend huge amounts of
time and money.)
- Frame or Link to the manufacturer's website (requiring the customer to leave the reseller's
website.)
With RSWeb, all that has changed!
Manufacturers that need to make their product information available for use on Resellers' websites provide RSWeb with a License to use that content, as well
as a set of guidelines to govern its use.
Resellers that need web content for the products they sell provide RSWeb with an Agreement to use the material legally, as well
as a second set of guidelines to govern how they want the content to look.
Each time a Reseller needs web content for additional products, or whenever a Manufacturer updates the web content available, RSWeb 1) acquires the source content from the
Manufacturer; 2) runs it through the Manufacturer's and Reseller's guidelines
database; 3) generates a prototype web page for the Reseller to review, and finally; 4)
prepares the content for download and transfers it directly to the Reseller's
own web server, making it ready for immediate use.
RSWeb is able to:
- Retrieve accurate and timely web content for the products being offered by the Reseller;
- Customize the retrieved content to maximize the Reseller's ability to present their sales information;
- Integrate the Manufacturer's content into the Reseller's website design layout;
- Present the requested product information seamlessly to the customer, from the Reseller's own website.
